Hi Rob,
Just wanted to thank you for the experience we gained with you on your charter. Last weekend we had a great day on the water catching 4 barra 100cm, 105cm, 106cm &108cm. We lost another fish as it spat the hook while jumping and 4 or 5 solid bites as well. Since you showed us how to retieve plastics effectively we seem too catch barra much more reguarly, also your local knowledge on Monduran has helped us immensely. If your hunting big barra, want to know more about fishing for impoundment barra or just want to catch a barra, I could recommend no one better to do it with than Rob Wood. A very knowlegable fisho that will do all that is humanly possible within his powers to get you a fish. Rob is a great character, which helps break up the hours of casting. Take it from someone that does a lot of charter and guided fishing, his package deals are great value for money. This along with monduran's trophy sized barra and Rob's extensive knowlege of this impoundment keep me coming back year after year.

Thanks for a great week end on Monduran, we will do it again soon.
The boat ride was absolutely awesome to say the least, really gets you into the mood, fantastic. Then comes the fishing, 15 minutes at the first stop and a 103 cm, 20 minutes later a 93cm then the big one, 116cm, absolutely fantastic. I found your hospitality at the pub very memorable also, the Surf and Turf, medium rare was superb, best meal on the coast. Once again an awesome week end.

While on one of my regular fishing trips to Monduran Dam in March we were having no luck in hooking yet alone landing any Barra, so after 2 days of trying i had the bright idea of trying a guide just to see what they did differently to us. so after unsuccesfully getting a guide on short notice rob had a cancellation due to bad weather on his saltwater charter and returned my call to organise a time.
The time was set and we met Rob at the ramp for our own conveniance, he was happy to pick us up from the camp site. Away we went and i would of been happy to pay the money just for the ride in the Skeeter, 10 minutes later we were up thetop of the dam and fishing. After some advise on were to cast and how to retreieve 6 cast later I was hooked up on and landed my first for the afternoon, an impressive 101cm barra.
A dozen more cast after getting bumps on some of them i hooked up and lost another one. (the hook up lasted about 5 seconds). Just after dark i was on again to a monster that tail danced across the water only to be cut off by its gill rakers, but thats fishing and thats what keeps you going back.I will definatly be doing another charter with Rob next time I am up there.
