What to wear
The barramundi bite best on the warm hot summer days and the average temperatures in this part of the country is in the high 20’s and is usually in the low 30’s on the hotter days.
Don’t come here to work on your tan you will only end up sick. You will need a good hat that will cover the back of your neck as well as the front of your face. Long sleeve shirts and long paints are the best especially if you want to do a couple of days. If you have fair skin I would recommend gloves and socks or foot wear.
I usually wear thongs on the boat as I find that shoes seem to over heat your feet. If you suffer on the feet with sunburn I would recommend socks as thongs and crocs don’t cover the feet well. Although the boat is fully carpeted your feet will still get hot on the really hot days. Sun glasses are a must.
